Is anyone using Kryptiq Automated Clinical Messaging? We are specifically interested in the Auto Document Distribution to Patients. Or has anyone looked at it but decided against it? For those who use it:
- How well does it work? Have you found any issues or points for consideration?
- How much are you utilizing it?
- Have you been able to measure any ROI?
For those who decided against it:
- Why did you decide not to use it?
Below is a description of it. Automated Clinical Messaging - Auto Document Distribution to Patients The Auto Document Distribution to Patients (ADD-P) Module automates sending clinical information to patients when a document is signed in the EMR. While this module can be configured to accomplish a variety of document distribution workflows, the module is pre-configured to enable sending Clinical Visit Summaries after a visit and sending normal lab results once reviewed by the provider. We'd really appreciate any feedback positive or negative. thx -mj
We are in the process of implementing the Secured Messaging and patient portal. We didn't opt to use the Automated Secured messaging simply because we weren't even told that it was an additional feature. During our last implementation call we asked about automating the Clinical visit summary for MU and were told, "Oh, well, that's an additional module you'll have to pay for." Well, we were never even told it was an additional module to decide if we wanted to pay for it or not.

Thanks Linda, that was our experience also. We also asked about automating it and were then told about ACM.
We received a product worksheet and quote, but would like to know about other users' experiences.
While discussing it with Kryptiq support, we were given the following response regarding a couple manual solutions for delivering it to the portal:
Manual workflows
These can be “batched” by a support staff member to limit the
inconvenience to the providers.
- You could print to the Briefcase
in the Secure Messaging Desktop and attach it to a message but that is a bit
clunky. - Another option would be to take
the content in your handout, generate a text component, and create a new SM
encounter form so that your providers (or their staff) can send it to the
patient. Not tough if you have an EF editor in house.SM Basic is a good starting point for custom forms and you have the .fd file.
Thanks for your reply -matt
We use the ACM software and it is worth its weight in gold. We are a multi specialty clinic with 45 physicians. This product has simplified the MU objective of clinical visit summaries without changing the physicians workflow. It is an automated product that extracts the data into the template that you can modify or use out of the box which creates and sends the summaries upon signature of the office visits.
Our MU numbers jumped incredibly upon implementation of this product. There are many different ways you can choose to send the summaries, it can send the summaries via secure messaging to any patient with a valid email on file, it can send them only to those registered for the portal and print for mail on those who are not, it can print to PDF and you can create your own process. It has too many options to list.
I highly recommend this product to larger clinics (not sure if it would be cost effective for small practices?), it is worth it IF your doctors are signing their visits in a timely manner. That is the key part of this!!
I am also in a multi specialty clinic with about 45 provider and have a few questions about the ACM and workflow if you would be willing to talk. Please contact me at [email protected]. Thanks in advance.
