Hi, We are going up on GE Patient Online. We are trying to grasp the workflow of how staff in EMR knows when a patient is registered and has consented to using "Secure Messaging", i.e.they are a Patient Online user who can recieve Secure Messages from EMR.
Is there a value/data that is pushed from GE Centricity Business after a patient gets registered to EMR that can be displayed in the banner (such as an obsterm)?

There is an obsterm of METHCONTACT that is populated if the patient completes the 'Preferred Method of Contact' from their portal account.
We use the Preferred Method of Contact obs term. When the patient completes that form(patient's are directed to complete this form), our patient banner indicates Portal Access: Yes.
