In reading the Kryptiq release notes for patient portal 6.4 I noticed that a Responsible provider is required for MU2. This presents a problem for our clinic, we are multi specialty and currently leave the responsible provider blank in registration as it can create problems in billing when a patient is seeing multiple providers on the same day. How are other multi specialty clinics dealing with this now or plan to in the future?
I appreciate any help.
Thanks,

Awaiting a resolution as to if/how CQR will count multiple providers for View>Download>Transmit in this scenario.
For testing, I wrote an EMR Oracle SQL script batch file, designed to update a blank Registration>Responsible Provider field automatically to a generic "No Responsible Provider" provider EMR account. That script runs every 10-minutes on our test server, however, it really won't help if MU VDT counting remains based solely on Responsible Provider. The billing issues don't affect us.
Since much of the MU reporting is built from the CCD-A, it's unclear how this will be resolved. For the future, either CQR changes or we'll have to find another reporting tool.

I am also in this predicament. I'm interested in if/how they resolve this, as we're not sure how we'll go about getting MU credit without it. If anyone else has resolved this either with GE, or without, please chime in.
GE has updated this as a Software Problem Report (SPR 59062) to be addressed by the Escalation and Engineering teams.
