Patients are complaining that they are write emails to providers and the system timing them out and they lose the email they were writing.
What is the timeout and what browser is suggested they use? And shouldn't the timeout only happen if the system is idle for a certain amount of time?
OMG! We've had a lot of browser issues with the portal. No timeouts - it just doesn't work. Although I have used Chrome, I was told by GE the 2 versions they support are IE 9 and 10 only. It will not work at all with IE 11.
Oh my goodness, are you serious? No one except users using Centricity use IE 9 or IE 10.
We insist patients use Chrome. We even link to the install on the portal front page.
Good Luck
Thank you so much jcollins. I will late our patients know. Any thoughts on the timeout?
The situation was:
- Patient wrote an email, as she was proof reading it, the site timed her out and asked her to put in her password again. She did this, but when the webpage returned, the email was gone.
I'll check with our portal setup person but I routinely sign in to our portal for testing purposes and I have not been timed out. I'll ask about time out settings and let you know

Hi all,
I'd like to bump this thread as we are experiencing some of the same issues such as timeouts, errors in accessing certain areas and errors while attempting to log in.
I'd like to know if anyone has seen any official documentation on specifically which browsers are supported for end-users (patients) of our version of the portal. For example, IE 9, 10, 11 or Chrome v55 and up, Safari v?, Firefox v? etc. As well as any required settings, plugins, etc.
We are on POL v15 SP1. We recently upgraded to this but it hasn't seemed to quell the user errors.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
