We are in the process of implementing the Kryptiq portal and have been looking at the Lab Results form and are wondering how other clinics are handling results for tests that are not included on the GE Lab results form? Did you develop an additional form?

Wow! Thanks so much! Would you have policies for each of these that you could share? Also, what is your current workflow for new patients? Are you having them complete new patient forms on the portal prior to their visit and if so, what is your workflow for the Pin generation?
I'm not sure what you mean by policies. I'm attaching the clinical kits you can import. Patients can register through our web-site or the provider/nurse can start an update. The PIN gets generated from the web-site/form.

Procedures may be the correct terminology of what I am looking for. I did take a look through the Kit you sent and visited your Portal (by the way, are you using Kryptiq?). If the patient is signing up online, who at your clinic works those requests?
Also, most of our offices have New Pt forms that they have the pts complete when they come in for their appt. They would like to use the functionality of having those forms on the portal so the patient can complete it before their appointment and then being able to bring that information into the chart update. Is that something your clinic(s) is doing? If so, what is your workflow for that process? From looking at your website, it doesn't look like someone can sign up without having been seen by a provider, correct?
We use the Kryptiq developer's kit to create our own portal from our web-site. We have a person/team that watches everything secure messaging related. We don't have a form to be completed before signing up for secure messaging. We give them a flyer explaining it and they can register on-line, or they can at their next visit. It's been a while since I helped out with this, so things might have changed.
jjordet,
What do your providers do when there are results not attached to one of the listed Obs terms, such as if a lab mailed (paper) test results? How do your providers work around addressing those tests with the patient?
We would use our same encounter, but add the verbiage and results to the note. The secure message sends everything in the note, not just what's in the forms.
