We are using the Medfusion portal and there isn't an easy way to get patient lab results to the portal. What workflows are you using to get patients lab results, with and without portal? We've tried to Liaison EMR-Link patient friendly lab reports also but the workflow didn't really work for us.
Thanks!
David,
We use the EZ Access portal and automatically show all signed lab results.
David,
We are in the same boat as you. Our current workflow is kind of in the caveman stages as patients are encouraged to send a message requesting lab results. We demo the Liason enhanced lab results and that's as far as it made it with our providers (very manual process). We are on 9.8.11 and really hoping for a automagic integration.
We use Liaison/EMRLink. Every morning, our Medical Records staff gets a report of all non-preliminary Lab Reports recently added to the EMR. MR staff manually sends each lab report to the patient. I'm not happy with this process...but it gets the job done.
We utilize ezAccess Patient Portal from Medical Office Technologies (link to their website) which is resold by Strategic Business Systems and Quatris (VARs). The portal has the ability to auto-share any document that gets generated in Centricity when the provider signs off on it (you can specify which documents get shared). You can also send documents to the portal manually from within Centricity using a portal communication document. Many of our providers prefer this method because they can include comments such as "All labs look great; continue taking medication as directed" and it has a more personal touch. This particular patient portal has had more positive impact on our physicians' quality of life than anything else in Centricity. BTW, I have no affiliation with the portal or our vendor, but I've been impressed with the capabilities of this product. The vendor has also worked with us to incorporate changes as we have identified opportunities to improve their system.
Hello good afternoon I know this question is from 2016 but I wanted to find out if anyone has found a bit more current/up to date patient portal? We too use eZAccess but the patient side so outdated compared to other medical groups around us. I do like the automatic transfer of labs to patients setting but we do not have that turned on because we are a pediatric office and support has not been able to assist us with that so we have that feature turned off. With this whole pandemic providers are looking for something that is patient and provider friendly for Telemed forms any suggestions?
