Has anyone figured out how to send a secure message from a form developed in VFE, without using SM-Basic? I understand how SM-Basic works (updates obs term SECMSGOPT), but I haven't been able to figure out how the value of SECMSGOPT is turned into a secure message. If anyone has figured this out, and could point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful. I did reach out to GE/Kryptiq Support, and they told me to ask the CHUG Forum.
Thanks,
Craig
You're probably overcomplicating this. Kryptiq has the SM-Basic and Results to Patient kit examples on their website. That's what we've customized.
They've also got a nicely documented "Adding Secure Messaging to an Encounter Form" PDF available, which covers all the functions.
Look under the Support>Secure Messaging & Patient Portal>Secure Messaging Encounter Forms area.

Thanks! That PDF is exactly what I was looking for.
