We are still in the wonderful world of 9.5 (or not!), so I am not sure if it is even possible BUT, we would love to get the patient's next scheduled appointments to show on the chart summary somehow. The flowsheet view is not very useful to our physicians since it is so small, but we weren't sure if we could remove it. Does anyone know of a way to get the future appointments, with who, and for what, to show? Or maybe it is possible to build a flowsheet view that would show this? Or just put it anywhere on the summary? This would save a lot of back and forth communication about appointments between our physicians and nurses over appointments! Thanks in advance!
We have implemented the next planned and next scheduled appointments to show up in the patient banner.
What are you considering the next planned appointment? Could you email me a screenshot? [email protected]
I went ahead and sent a screenshot your way.
I would love a copy too (sorry, starting me toos) for our banner, but also was hoping to have something that shows also last appt (one that was complete rather than cancelled/no showed…)
Thanks

In addition to the next scheduled appt in the patient banner, we use a History View to show the last appt and next appt. Currently, we do not limit these to the type of appointment. I'm sure a function could show all future appointments based on appointment type if you want to limit your view to provider encounters.
This may have come with CPS 9.5, but here's what we use :
Next Appt: {APPT_NEXT()}
Last Appt: {APPT_PRIOR()}
to show this:
Next Appt: 09/17/2012, 10:30 AM, Routine, Office 21, Chalfant MD, John C
Last Appt: 03/12/2012, 11:15 AM, Routine, Office 21, Chalfant MD, John C
