I would like to capture the information that is in the OBR-20 and the OBX-15 fields of the incoming Lab imports into an obsterm.
I am unsure of how to do that since those fields are not mapped to any obsterms presently.
These fields are pushed to the l3qualifier.name field presently.
Suggestions???
You would have to manipulate the HL7 file to create additional OBX lines for each value you want to store. Only OBX-5 gets saved in an obs term so in your line that you want to save OBX-15, an additional OBX line would have to be inserted and the value from 15 placed in 5. Along with an appropriate result code that you can map in the cross reference file you are using to the obs term you want. Same with the OBR – an additional OBX would be needed. You would need an interface engine like Qvera to do this. It would take the file in, add the additional lines, then pass it to DTS.
Woud Cloverleaf be able to do this?
I would think so, I have never used it though so I don't know anything about its capabilities. Maybe someone else will chime in.
Thank you very much!!!!
Qvera,
Cloverleaf
Iguana
MIRTH
all of them can use, MIRTH is free but the learning curve is quite curvy!!
although worthy.
