I created a simple form with an Action button to print the Clinical Visit Summary handout for Meaningful Use. However, it does not capture the handout name in the Audit events so it is not captured for MU reports. If the handout is printed directly from the Handout button it does.
Does anyone know if I can make the Action button capture the handout printing as an audit event?
What version are you on? The Meaningful Use Reports Release Notes states:
Known issues
PRINTHANDOUT does not generate all event details (handout name)
If the PRINTHANDOUT data symbol is used to print a handout from a chart note (form
component, quick text), the handout name is missing from the details logged for the
Print a report audit event (Description, Title). This issue has been corrected in Centricity
Practice Solution 9.5.1 service pack now available. This is not an issue in Centricity
Practice Solution 10.0.
Workaround
: If the handout is printed from the Print Patient Education Handout
window, logged details are complete.

Thank you so much for the information! We are on CPS 9.5. The last incremental update was done for July 2012 and our version is 9.5.0.121. Is 9.5.1 available since the July update? It would be great if this is the solution.
I think 9.5.1 came out last year (9.5 SP1). I'm on CPS 10 so I don't know exactly what updates are available for 9.5.
I found these release notes and it appears this is for running Crystal reports. We use MQIC reporting. It is interesting we do not have 9.5.1 available and we are up to date.
You have given me some thoughts on how to approach this again and possibly what questions to ask support at MQIC.

Does anyone know exactly what needs to be on the Clinical Visit Summary when printed? Is there an exact description on what all needs to be on there?

Recent diagnositc test results
The "strongly recommended" content captured as structured data during routine documentation is:
Location and date of visit
Reason for visit
Customized instructions
Problems (all or only those addressed)
Future tests and consults ordered
Labs done within previous 7 days
In office tests done day of visit
New meds
updated current med list
Alleries
Immunizations given
Vital signs
