Does anyone have any knowledge of a Crystal Report designer that is integrated in CPS?
I've been told that we have a license for it, but cannot locate it or any documentation on this "designer".
Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated!
Sue
it work from the business report, when you try to modify the report, you have a couple of options on the top menu, one of them is designed view or designed mode.
thank you!
We have been using the integrated Crystal Reports module for years and it's worth it. You have to buy a license from GE. I think it was a one time charge of $500 back when we first got it. Once you have purchased the license, you have to use ServerSetup to relicense CPS. During the licensing process, it will tell you that there is a license available for Crystal and ask you which pc you want to use it on. Enter the name of your own workstation if you are the one that will be using it. Once that is complete, you can run the designer from the reports module by right clicking on a report and selecting "Design Layout". It only works on custom reports (the ones with the red icon). To use the designer for Superbills, Patient Profile, Statements, etc., go to Administration > Reports, select the desired report, then click "modify." Select the row you want and click "Layout".
So, not to sound unsure, but, can it design chart reports to pull chart info as well?
And, to really push the point - do you have any documentation on this feature?
Thansk,
Sue
You can access any table in the Centricity Database, so yes, you can create reports that use chart related data, but your reports would still have to be placed in the main "Reports" module (PM side). If you want to edit or create reports that can be placed in the "Reports and Inquiries" tab on the EMR side, then you will have to purchase the full standalone version of Crystal Reports.
Sorry, I don't have any documentation. GE is not particularly good at making documentation available for their products. The MIK is another area that I wish had more documentation.
