Having an issue with a custom form. Upon adding it to the update, it appears blank, but when you change tabs and come back to the first tab the form appears as it is supposed to.
CPS, Version 11.
Anyone else running into this?

I occasionally get that...never really bothered me much to look into it.
I've seen this on CPS 10 but it was at random times and with any form, not just custom forms. It appeared to be a bug with redrawing the visual components, sometimes it just doesn't happen. There never was a fix or workaround, I can't remember if there was an SPR.
Try clicking on the form name in the list of forms on the left instead of switching tabs. That should force a redraw as well.
It also happens in CPS 11. I don't know if there's an SPR, but we reported it to GE a couple of times over the last year.
Thank you for the comments. Hoping for a fix..as the complaints about 11 keep stacking up.
Are you on Citrix, fat clients, VDI, or something else?
We are still only testing CPS 11 (we currently use EMR 9.5), and we haven't seen this behavior in our own VFE/EFE forms. However, we've seen it with the Prescription Refill form, and it has been reported to GE. So far no luck in getting that fixed, but it sure seems to be a patient safety issue. I'll let you know if I see it in the forms I maintain.
We are on a fat client and seeing it with all custom VFE/EFE forms...it's very annoying to our users.
Keep me posted.
I will, for sure. If it happens in our establishment, there could be mutiny.
Have you checked your settings in admin/chart documents/encounter types? If you have the "Open First Form" set to "Never" it can cause problems like this.
Perhaps others following this post haven't checked that attribute, but I know I did, and even tried creating new encounters from scratch (rather than using those coming over from our 9.5 system). The behavior was still the same. I'd find it useful to hear if others had the same experience, too.
I had the same outcome as well. Changing the opening function in Administration didn't change the behavior.
Hoping for a fix in 12.
