Hello all,
Due to the new law Hydrocodone will become a schedule II medication on Oct 6th and we are trying to install Thermal printers within our facility to print RX to blue paper. My issue is that I need a crystal form setup to do this and GE is of no real immediate help. Does anyone currently perform this within an Indiana hospital or clinic?
Please contact me @ [email protected]
Any help would be appreciated!!
This may sound like a silly question, but are you saying that you not currently printing any prescriptions?
Not silly at all. We currently print to 8 1/2 X 11 paper for or printed scripts that are allowed and handwrite our schedule II to blue paper. With the change in the law (hydrocodone change to schedule II in Oct) this will up the amount of handwritten scripts to the place we are seeking a better solution. That is why we thought the Thermal printer was our best option which we can use script paper on a roll. Hope this helps clear question.
thnaks for your response.. Jon
I am in Florida but our scripts are also based on 8.5x11. We converted most of our script printers to thermal (made by Star). We use the regular script but we tell the printer driver (under Device settings) to scale the image to 65%.
