Hi,
Were on CEMR 9.8.13
I have a provider who works on wireless computers in his office. On several patients he will update the medication list and or give electronic prescriptions. They appear in the translation as being given. He signs the chart. When the patient comes back the medication list is blank. He also had where the first visit medications are on the list, then he updates the list on second visit, and on the third visit the second visit meds are gone... Has anyone else experienced this?? I have been unable to recreate the issue and it's only the one provider. Thanks, Misty
Is he putting an end date on the medications? That's the first thing I would check.
Maybe unrelated but we had a scenario where meds showed up with MEDS_AFTER and only with that symbol (they where not part of the patient's active med list). We could see this med under the medications tab in all as removed but MEDS_AFTER was seeing it as active Basically it was hung up in the database and took a GE database person to fix it, which he was totally stumped as to why it occured.
My guess is that the clinical lists are not being signed for some reason.
If you right click on the note, and click on view clinical list changes, does it show the medication as being added? If so then the data is in the database it is just not in the correct state.
FYI, Last I heard GE does not support running EMR wireless unless you are using RDP/Citrix.
We are on CPS 12.0.13 and just this week I had a nurse report that she had documented several medications as historical on 7/5/17 but when she started an ofc visit on 7/17/17 none of those medications showed in the medications.

Thanks everyone !!!
