I have a couple of questions about building reports and this support is not supported by Centricity. Would anyone out there be interested in giving me a hand? Thank you in advance, Sarah
Hello Sarah,
I am a Data Integration Analyst and our company is exploring the same issue. To start, does your clinic have any kind of reporting services, or a consultant that you can work with? And what GE Product are you using? We are on GE Centricity Electronic Medical Records Module, v9.5 and what we are finding out is the reports provided in the application, while are good, do not provide the specificity and drill down that our company requires. This is requiring our Reporting Services Department to start to look at the back end and pull data from the Oracle tables and integrate the data into our other reporting mechanisms.
One other thing we are keeping our eye on is the provider workflows and how the obs terms are connected to the forms and workflows in the EMR. It is very important to know what you are putting in on the users end that it is connected correctly to the information that you report off of.
I look forward to your response.
We are currently on 10 and in August upgrading to 11. The Reports I need can be found in the preprogrammed list but, they are tricky to get to. What I was hoping is that I could build my own specific report to pull all five point per provider. I was really hoping we had the option to build a custom report but, everyone is saying no. 🙁 On the other hand its good to know we have good info going in and the obs terms are not a problem. Sarah
I have been looking at some of the other posts and there are some good conversations about SQL reports. You can pull this right from the back end. If your role is reporting, it would be good to use this if you have access to your SQL server. Here is the GE CPS Sql site

This way you can exrtract the data yourself from your server and not depend on 3rd parties or consultant, that will help save $$$$'s which we are all striving for.
Wow thats really great! Thank you so much. What was your name?
Thank you very much Chris now I just have to figure out "how" to do it. 🙂 I appreciate your help very much. Sarah
This may sound silly, but if you are looking at how to run queries, a good place to start is Youtube. But if you are considering this as a part of your role with your company, I would get some formal training. But Youtube can get you off the ground.
Yeah I kind of do a little bit of everything here and reports isn't always a frequent for me but, I will check it out. Thanks again, Sarah
Thank you so much for suggesting You Tube. I cannot get enough. Love swome of the EHR skits too. Sarah
