Our MAs will prep for upcoming well child checks by reviewing the child's immunization record and recommending vaccines for that visit. The provider will review and sign off on them. In order to do this, the MAs open a visit entitled "vaccines recommended" in which they use the order module to recommend the immunizations, hold the visit to the provider, and the provider signs off on that visit if they approve. When the child comes in for the well check a couple of days later, the provider has to get out of the current visit and look at the previous one to re-review which vaccines they have approved.
I am trying to find a better way to do this. Would any pediatric practices out there be willing to share their process?
Thank you.
